The aéroponie is one of the most recent and promising in the horticultural sector of cultures S and flower-dwelling faces of research in protected environment. It is comparable with its ancestor, the Hydroponie with the difference that, in hydroponie, the plants on an inert substrate (of type Argex, Pouzzolane or Pumice), are irrigated with regular intervals and in which the food is done by regular contribution of a nutritive solution (recycled or not).

In aéroponie, the functions of support and water provision and in nutritive elements, usually filled by the ground, are provided by " supports of plantes" , generally out of plastic, and by permanent vaporizations (fog) of nutritive solutions containing rock salt turning in closed circuit by means of a pump. There are thus at the same time 100% of availability out of water and 100% of availability in air, from where performances of growth.

It then becomes possible to condition all the parameters of the nutritive medium (concentration of the nutritive elements and their respective proportion, pH, temperature, etc) in order to obtain the best results of culture.

Applied rationally, this technique makes it possible to obtain a quantitative and qualitative increase substantial in Productivité; a considerable reduction in the labor, fertilizers and water; and especially, a drastic reduction of the consumption of energy of growing under glass.
