92 resolutions
The 92 resolutions is a bulky document of 1834 which summarizes all the objections that the Canadians of the Low-Canada maintained at the place the British authorities , in addition to requiring several reforms, of which most important were the election of the Legislative council, the ministerial Responsabilité and budget by the Parliament controls it.
The members of the Legislative council, named by the governor, could be opposed to the bills voted by the deputies. The governor and his executive were not obliged to take account of the decisions of the Parliament while the control of all the expenditure of the administration escaped the representatives elected by the people. The 92 resolutions thus required a system much more democratic.
The patriotic Parti thus made adopt these resolutions by the Parliament and conveyed them directly with London because it was estimated that the British authorities were unaware of what really occurred in the colonies.
