- December 11th: Sanche {{Ier}} of Navarre.
- Abu Bakr Al Razi, philosopher and doctor who lived with Ravy and Baghdad, leaves some two hundred works. He is the first Arab scientist to affirm his belief in the continuous progress and, consequently, the provisional character of any research. Atheist, it tackles the prophets, the revealed laws and the miracles. He directs a hospital to Baghdad and written treaties on the plague, variola and measles, studies “the stone of the bladder and the kidneys”, the drop and rheumatisms.
