8 Mile

8 Mile is a American Film carried out by Curtis Hanson, left the February 26th 2003.

Synopsis

With Strait, in 1995, Jimmy Smith Jr. alias B-Rabbit has dreams full the head, but it still misses the words to express them. Its life of teenager proceeds between white suburbs and black districts, along this line of demarcation which one names 8 Mile Road . In spite of all its efforts, Jimmy forever crossed this barrier symbolic system and continuous to accumulate the family, professional and sentimental vexations.

Soundtrack

The band of film is made up of two albums:

8 Mile Soundtrack which gathers the songs made by Eminem and its label. It is on this album that the song Lose Yourself is, song number 1 in 40 countries for which Eminem gained the Oscar of the best original song in 2002.
More Music From 8 Mile which is an album gathering the songs that one can hear in film. The film being held in 1995, it acts of the best songs of Rap going back from this year or front. One finds thus the Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Cypress Hill or Notorious B.I.G.
the instrumental one that have it can hear with the whole beginning of the film as Eminem warms up in front of the ice of the toilets of the club as at the time of the last clash with Papa Doc. at the end is the piece “Shook Ones (Pt. II)” drawn from the album The Infamous of the group Mobb Deep left in 1995.

The film is accompanied by appearances more or less fast recognized artists. Indeed, one finds the rappeurs Proof (member of D-12 and better friend of dead Eminem assassinated in 2006), Xzibit and Obie Trice as well as the disc jockey DJ Head (ex DJ of Eminem). Lastly, one finds the singers Taryn Manning (playing the ex of Eminem) of the group Bomkat and Sara Stokes of the group Da Band.

8 Mile: biography of Eminem?

Supposed being inspired of the life of Eminem, certain spectators consider that the film is a hidden biography of the life of Eminem before he becomes a star. Although this last refutes this assumption, from many elements go in the direction of a biography or, at least, a semi-biography:

the action is held with Detroit in 1995. At the time, Eminem also tried to be made known on Detroit.
the group 3-1-3 which accompanies B-Rabbit can make think of the group D-12, founded by Eminem.
the best friend of B-Rabbit, Future, is that of Eminem, Proof which led the rapp battles to Shelter, and had the same look and the same hairstyle as Future in film, or even with the producer of Eminem, Dr. DRE, which discovered its talent at the time of battle S.
the tended relations that B-Rabbit with its ex maintains and his/her mother are very similar to the relations that maintains Eminem with its ex and his/her mother.
the little sister of B-Rabbit resembles curiously the girl of Eminem, Hailie Jade Scott.
The Shelter , the club where the battle S take place, makes think of the places which attended Eminem and Proof to make known itself at the time.
