Eastern Europe

  • the Magyar , established between Dniestr and Prut, are sent against the Bulgares by Byzance which blocks the mouths of the the Danube. Siméon Ier of Bulgaria response by pushing back them beyond the river and while launching against them the Petchenègues of the Dniepr. The Magyars migrate towards the west and settle in the Danubian plain to form the Hungary with the detriment of the Moravie and with the Germanic support.

  • According to the anonymity in its Gesta Hungarorum , the Magyars run up in Transylvania against voïvodats of which three are identified by the historians Rumanian like Rumanian or roumano-Slavic.

  • Spytihnev and Vratislav Přemyslide, princes de Bohême, lends oath of fidelity to Arnulf of Germanic with the Reichstag of Ratisbon. They organize the evangelization of the country.

    • the legend reduces the family from the Přemyslides of a plowman appointed by a series of miracles. Two duchies existed in Bohemia: one, directed by the prince Borijov, baptized by Method in 875, extends around the fortress from Prague. The other had been annexed by Svatopluk of Moravie. Starting from 895, the two duchies are dependant between them and the 9th century is dominated by alliances and the estrangements of the two ducal families, Přemyslides and the Slavnik.
