February 29th: Beginning of the reign of Eudes, king de France (fine in 898).
- Eudes, wire of Robert the Fort, is elected king by the large ones with the detriment of the Carolingian Charles III Simple the and is crowned with Compiegne. The royal capacity does not extend any more beyond Gaulle septentrional. Eudes gives up the use of the Missi dominici and reduces considerably what remains royal tax department, to leave the crown to the Carolingian heir legitimates in 898. After the transfer of the Normandy in 911, Charles Simple the is relieved and replaced by Robert, count de Paris.

June 14th: The Viking S take Meaux and ten days afterwards, the June 24th, they are beaten by Eudes with Montfaucon in Argonne. They are also demolished with Questembert (888 or 890) and are driven out Morbihan by Alain Large the, count de Vannes, helped by Bérenger, count de Rennes.
