April 18th: The Viking S, during a new campaign, devastate Orleans.
- the Vikings of Björn Côte of iron settle again in the valley of the the Seine in the island of Oscellus (Oissel) during six years.
- the Viking S devastate the Normandy and the Île-de-France. In the month of August they are close to Paris and establish a strengthened camp with Jeufosse. They also go up the the Loire and devastate Tours, Blois, and will plunder Angers. They went even until to Auvergne and set fire to collegial Clermont-Ferrand.
- December 25th: Crowning, in the church of Bore-holes (Suffolk), Edmond (16 years), new king of East Anglia, which succeeded in 854 his/her uncle Athelstan, eighth king of East Anglia, left in Holy Land to finish there its days in the prayer and penitence.
