The Middle East

  • the Arménie NS are linked by the alliance of the Bagratouni, the Mamikonian and some other big families. The Caliph sends against them an army of 200  000 men led by the Turkish general Bagha Al Kabir. The Armenians are crushed, their country is devastated. Most of the nobility is exterminated.

  • large the Cadi Ibn Abî Du' AD is relieved.

  • Construction of a gigantic Mosque with 3 naves with Samarra on the Tiger which can contain 100  000 faithful.

Europe

  • Beginning of the reign of Burgred, king of Mercie (fine in 874).
  • decisive Victoire of the Danes on the Norwegians with Carlingford in Ireland. The Norwegian power in Ireland seems with most badly when the royal fleet of Olaf intervenes the White (Amlaibh for the Irishmen) which takes Dublin in 853.
  • Scandinavia: The Christian parish of Birka is again open. The Danish king Hárekr allows the creation of another parish Slesvig.
  • Beginning of the reign of Muhammad I {{er}} emir de Cordoue (fine in 886).
  • In Spain, Tolède proclaims its independence.
  • the Moslems take Barcelona.
  • Beginning of the reign of Boris I {{er}} of Bulgaria. It extends its states and the Christianisme imposes to them (fine in 889).

Worsen Carolingian

  • January 9th: The Viking S, with at their Sydroc head, destroy the Abbaye of Saint-Wandrille of Fontenelle it and for the first time winter into Low the Seine until the June 5th. They also settle with the mouth of the Charente and devastate the Low-Poitou.

    • the Norman ones of Asgeirr leave the Paris basin to operate with Bordeaux. Another fleet Norman, directed by Godfredr Haraldson goes up the Seine (October 8th). It is joined by the 250 ships of Sydroc, which has just gained important successes over the Friesian coast.   • the Norman ones plunder Saint-Pierre-the-Moûtier in Nivernais.
  • the counts of Poitiers and Herbauge beat the Vikings with the Bataille of Brillac
  • Robert the Fort, ancestor of the Capétiens, becomes laic abbot of Saint-Martin-of-Turns. He would go down from Witukind, aristocrat of Empire originating in Saxony installed in Touraine.
  • Formation of Guild S commercial in Northern Europe.
