- the Arménie NS are linked by the alliance of the Bagratouni, the Mamikonian and some other big families. The Caliph sends against them an army of 200 000 men led by the Turkish general Bagha Al Kabir. The Armenians are crushed, their country is devastated. Most of the nobility is exterminated.

- Beginning of the reign of Burgred, king of Mercie (fine in 874).

January 9th: The Viking S, with at their Sydroc head, destroy the Abbaye of Saint-Wandrille of Fontenelle it and for the first time winter into Low the Seine until the June 5th. They also settle with the mouth of the Charente and devastate the Low-Poitou.
