  • August: The pirates buckwheats of Africa of north plunder Rome: sixty ten ships attack Ostie and Oporto. Buckwheats go on Rome by plundering all on their passage. The garrison of Grégoriopolis cannot stop them. They profane the Church Saint-Pierre. Guy de Spolète ends up pushing back them.
  • Louis II of Italy carries out a forwarding against the Arab .

  • Reign of Rotislav, king of Moravie (fine in 870).
  • Rotislav extends its field until the the Tisza (Theis), theoretical border with the Bulgarian Empire of Boris Ier (852 - 889). Louis Germanic the, which had however established Rotislav, proposes an alliance with Boris. Rotislav turns then to the emperor of Byzance, Michel III, adversary of the Bulgares (863).
