• Mâlik ibn Anas, Moslem lawyer, founder of one of the 4 legal schools (rites) of orthodoxy Sunnite (school known as Malékite). Born with Médine in 710, it leaves a work, the levelled way, in which it gives a table of the law, right and religion médinoise. He admits, in addition to Coran and Sunna, the “habit” ( urf ) médinoise, the consensus ( idlma ) of the doctors médinois and the principle of the general utility ( istislâh ).
