- Trisong Detsen, King of the Tibet, declared the Bouddhisme religion of State in its country.
- Pépin '' says Uneven the '' is locked up with the abbey of Prüm after a revolt against his/her father Charlemagne in 791.
- Famine in the frank empire (792 - 793). Case of cannibalism and collective hallucination noted by the annalists.
- In spring, Charlemagne orders which are celebrated of the masses to put an end to the famine and a three day old young person for the ecclesiastics, the counts, vassal the dominici and their subordinates, and which each one is given the responsability to nourish some famished until next harvest.

Diffusion of the Adoptianisme, theory formulated by the Elipand bishops of Tolède and Felix of Urgel according to which Jesus-Christ is the adoptive son of God. Felix is invited to go to the royal palace Charlemagne to Ratisbon where a council of frank bishops condemns his doctrines as heretic before sending it to Rome so that it abjures in front of the pope Adrien. Of return to him, Felix turns over to his opinions which are spread until in Septimanie where many Spanish refugees live. The adoptianism is again condemned by the council of Frankfurt in 794. In 798, the pope Leon III publishes an anathema against these new heretics. In 799 or 800, Charlemagne convenes Felix in Aachen to order to him to clear itself.
