• March 23rd: The Capitulaire Admonito generalis of Charlemagne fixes the first direct broad outlines of the Carolingian reform, which intends to regulate all the compartments of the life of the kingdom, in particular issuing the creation of schools in each évêché and the Baptême of the children before the one year age.

• Foundation of the kingdom of Morocco
• Beginning of the reign of Idris Ier, Imam of the Morocco (fine in 791). Beginning of the dynasty idrisside.
• Idris Ben Abdallah, descendant of `Ali, escapes the Abbassides and leaves the Arabia for the Morocco in 786. In 788, it is accommodated by a tribe Berbère Morocco, Aouraba with Oulila (Volubilis) and is recognized like Imam. It seizes Tlemcen and founds the first town of Fès.
