Charlemagne walk along the Lippe and of the Weser. Strong rains make the country impracticable. Charlemagne leaves his/her Charles son to hold the Saxons in respect and walk itself through the Thuringe with the large one of the army, devastating the country between the Saale and the Elba. It returns to Worms before the autumn, then gathers new troops to turn over on the Weser. On arrival of the winter, it is folded up on Eresburg where it passes for the first time the winter in enemy territory, and prepares the following countryside.
