Europe

  • Charlemagne devotes the abbey which it made build, in an exceptional site, with the foot of a cliff, Brantôme in the Dordogne, by depositing there the relics of a battered child, one of the Innocent Saints, Saint Sicaire.
  • Aquitanian Revolt of Hunald II of which opposes Charlemagne and Carloman. Charles intervenes immediately with Angouleme. Hunald flees near Loup II, duke of the Gascons. Charles requires Wolf that Hunald is delivered to him and undertakes the construction of the castle Fronsac on the the Dordogne. Lupus, terrified, delivers Hunald to him and his wife and subjects herself to the authority of Charles.
  • Beginning of christianization in Carinthie.
    • Turbid pagan in Carantanie (future Carinthie) with died of Hotimir. Tassilon of Bavaria must intervene to establish the new prince. He sends new missionaries and founds a monastery with Innichen.
  • At the time of the council of Lateran to Rome the election of the pope is withdrawn with the laic ones. The council cancels the acts of the antipape Constantin II and condemns the Iconoclasme.

Asia

  • Dharmapala, wire and successor of Gopala (founder of the dynasty Pala) reign on the Bengal (fine in 815). It détrône Indrayudha de Kanauj and replaces it by Chakrayudha. Its empire extends from the gulf of the Bengal to Delhi and of Jalandhar to the mounts Vindhya.
    • Revival of Buddhism under Dharmapala. It is introduced with the Tibet.
