A product molluscicide is a active substance or a preparation having the property to kill the Mollusque S.

In crop protection, the molluscicides are employed mainly to kill the Limace S and the Escargot S.

More used is the métaldéhyde presented in the form of white powder which is highly flammable. It is dessicant which causes in molluscs the emission of a very abundant dribble. The animal exhausts its hydrous reserves and dies dehydrated. These products are toxic for the mammals. Carbamates have properties hélicides (mercaptodiméthur, méthiocarbe).
