  • In India, a Moslem army tries to take Thana, close to Bombay.

  • the king of Perse Yazdgard III tries to take again Al-Hira. The Arab general Abu' Obayd crosses the Euphrate to his meeting but is crushed under the legs of an elephant. Al-Mothanna gathers the forces of the Moslems, overcomes Persians in front of Al-Hira then recrosses the river towards Ctésiphon. Persia Roustan holds good and the Arabs must gather in the Al-Hira south. Reinforced by the troops of Syria, they fight three days a decisive battle to Al-Qadisiyya in spring. Roustan, demolishes, dies. The Arabs take Ctésiphon (Mada' in) then are victorious with Jaloula. Yazdgard III flees in the Zagros.
