- Othman, son-in-law of Mahomet, takes refuge in Ethiopia, and the prophet, in conflict with his tribe, would have asked for to the king Aksoum to send an army to him to lend strong hand to him. A few years later, the persecution of the Qoréïchites leads Moslems of Arabia to be exiled at the court of Aksoum. A third group of Moslems would have taken refuge in Ethiopia at the time of Hégire.
