60e regiment of infantry of line

The 60e regiment of infantry was a unit of the French Army.

During the war of 14-18 it was called ''' As of Heart '''.

Creation and various denominations

It is the Régiment of the King, at the time called, the Royal-The-Navy, used thus, like now by units specialized like the marine fusillers.

The First World War

During the war, it will belong to the 27e brigade of infantry at the side of the 44e regiment of infantry, the 14th division of infantry (division of the Aces), 7th army corps, 1st army. It will obtain there its fodder with the colors of the military decoration.

the ace of heart, alias the 60°R.I was based with Lons-the-Salt maker. It was composed of a headquarters, of three companies of combat, a SER and a company of instruction. Divided into two districts, the infantrymen part was based in the center town with the barracks MICHEL, the other services with the barracks PUFF OUT with LONS the SAULNIER.

The regiment was dissolved in 1984 as a regiment of active and becomes regiment of reserve. Its flag is deposited with the camp of the VALDAHON.

Within the framework of the recasting of the Army, the regiments of reserve are dissolved. Each professionnalized regiment must on the other hand set up a unit of reserve of professionnalized regiment (URRP) only made up of reservists. The executives which formed that of the 35e regiment of infantry (5th company) result from 60e IH.
