In England, beginning of the evangelization of the people Saxon Angles and by Augustin and his monks, since their first place of installation in the town of Canterbury, capital of the Kent. This évêché will become the first and the most important episcopal see of the country.
- June: Augustin, unloaded with Easter with the mouth of the the Thames, obtains the conversion of the king Ethelred of Kent, chief of the Anglo-Saxon confederation. Augustin returns to Arles to receive there the episcopal dedication which will enable him to direct the new Church of England. Ethelred makes him gift of the current site of the cathedral of Canterbury.

June 9th: The monk Colomba d' Iona (otherwise called Colomba or Columb Cille), founder of the monastery of Iona, in the interior Hébrides in the west of the current Scotland, which will succeed the prior of the monastery of Hinba, principal dependence of Iona, now localized on the island of the Jura in Hébrides, Baithenè.
