The 54e Match of Stars of the National league of hockey took place the February 8th 2004 during the season 2003-04 of the LNH and was held with the Xcel Energy Center, located in the town of Saint-Paul, in the State of the Minnesota, the official amphitheater of the Wild of Minnesota of LNH. The Conference of the East has demolishes the Conference of the West to the account of 6-4.
Match of Young Stars
The Match of the Young Stars of LNH, putting in the high-speed motorboat teams of stars entirely made up of recruits and some players of second year, saw the team of Young Stars of the Conference of the West battrent Young Stars of the Conference of the East to the account of 7-3.
Joffrey Lupul of the Ducks d' Anaheim was illustrated by obtaining a turn of the hat, Jonathan Cheechoo of the Sharks de San Jose obtained four mentions of assistance and the goalkeeper recruit Philippe Sauvé of the Avalanche of Colorado was named the most useful player of the meeting, stopping 18 of the 21 throws directed against him. A fact to note: contrary to the play of regular hockey to five players against five, the Match of Young Stars of the LNH is disputed to four against four in order to create more space on surface of play and, thus, more offensive opportunities for the two teams.
