  • Berber Insurrection in Africa against Byzance under the command of Antalas (544 - 548). The Byzantines make themselves unpopular while wrongly exploiting the conquered country. They are badly included/understood by the catholics of Africa who preserved the Latin language and ignore the Greek. Rebirth of the Donatisme, which had lost much of its importance.
