• the Austrasie N Théodebert goes down to Italy with an large army (10 000 men), and Vitigès being besieged in Ravenne, it seizes most of the Venezia and of Ligurie. It must be withdrawn in front of the disease which decimates its troops, but leaves a duke in Venezia which it will make later recognize by Totila. Perhaps thought he of attacking Constantinople.
