Under the control of Bélisaire, with the Battle of Dara, the Byzantines demolish the Perse S with which they have been in war for five years.
- Théodora makes promulgate with Byzance a law for the protection of the mothers.
- Indian Embassy at Justinien.
- Wars of the Yemen (530-540). Justinien sends an embassy in Ethiopia to require a help against Persians. It is a question of withdrawing with the Perses the trade of silk by deviating it by the Red Sea. The sovereign of Aksoum agrees to try forwarding, but does not undertake it seriously.
