The 500 miles of Indianapolis 2007 , organized the May 27th 2007, were gained by the British pilot Dario Franchitti over a Dallara - Honda of the stable Andretti Green Racing.

Notes:
- Qualified the Saturday the 19th in 32e position but with the 33e and last time following the qualification Sunday of Richie Hearn, Jimmy Kite was " bumpé" by Phil Giebler and thus its place lost on the grid. Qualified with the 33e place, Richie Hearn thus gained a row.
- Qualified the Saturday the 19th in 31e position, Roberto Moreno cancelled its time of qualification to produce Sunday a better stopwatch. By carrying out the 27e stopwatch, it did not improve its place on the grid (recall that the grid is established according to the stopwatches but also day of qualification at the time which the aforementioned stopwatch was carried out) but was put safe from possible a " bump".

Final classification

One (R) indicates that the pilot was eligible with the trophy of the " Rookie off the Year" (better beginning from the year), allotted to Phil Giebler.
