Installation
During the Years 1990, UIT proposes a standard of dispostion of the loudspeakers (for a use with or without associated image) in its recommendation ITU-R BS.775-1. Seen tops, the five loudspeakers are laid out on an imaginary circle whose listener is the center, that in order to guarantee a balance between the five points of diffusion. The loudspeakers “left” and “right-hand side” are located on both sides loudspeaker “centers” with an angle of 30°, the loudspeakers “surround left” and “surround right” with a variable angle between 100° and 120° compared to the “center”. The place of the “subwoofer” does not have importance, the human ear not perceiving the direction of the low frequencies; it must nevertheless be posed with same the ground.
