- March 27th: The Suèves occupy Lugo, in Galicie.
- Majorien passes the the Pyrenees in order to gain the Africa by Gibraltar with a fleet of three hundred joined together vessels with Carthagène, to fight Genséric and to take again the Africa with the Vandales. The treason of its lieutenants, followed capture of the imperial fleet in bay of Carthagène, ruins the attempt. The generals betray, and the emperor must conclude peace. Ricimer conspires against him and the constrained one to abdicate. Five days later, he dies assassinated in Spain (461).
