  • Spring: Honorius makes exile Galla Placidia and its children with Constantinople.
  • August 15th: Died of Honorius.
  • November 20th: After the death of Honorius, a usurper, the Italian senator Jean, takes the empire with Ravenne.
  • December: The Sénat appoints emperor Jean the chief of the imperial notaries.
    • Aetius (born in 390), which passed part of its youth like hostage at the Visigoths and the Huns, joins with its cause and will recruit an army at the Huns. When it returns with a strong army, Jean already succumbed to the attacks of Galla Placidia, girl of Théodose Ier, supported by his nephew Théodose II (May 425).
