40 Wall Street

40 Wall Street (at the origin the Bank off Manhattan Trust Building ) is a Gratte-ciel 282,5 height meters of 71 stages and located on the island of Manhattan at New York. Conceived by H. Craig Severance and Yasuo Matsui, it was built between 1929 and 1930 in only 11 months. It is called also the Trump Building since its new owner, Donald Trump, renovated it in 1996. 40 Wall Street was for two months the building highest of the world, until the completion of the Chrysler Building.
In 1946, by one day of strong fog, 40 Wall Street were struck by a plane of the American coastguards. The accident made four died.
