3rd regiment of riflemen tonkinois
The 3rd Régiment of Tirailleur S Tonkin ois (or 3rd RTT) is a regiment made up under the {{IIIe}} République. It fought in particular at the time of the Second world war, during which it disappeared, destroyed by the Japanese forces.
Creation and various denominations

July 28th 1885: creation of the 3rd regiment of riflemen tonkinois , with a framing of the 4 {{E}} RIMa;
- October 1st 1929: the 4th battalion is detached from the regiment to form the battalion of mountain dwellers thôs
- April 2nd, 1945: regarded as dissolved after the surprised attack of the Japanese in the North of Indo-China, and the destruction of the regiment.

- September 1st 1939: garrison with Bắc Ninh, Lạng Sơn, CAD Bằng, and Seven Pagodas
- 22 September 29th, 1940: defense of the sector of Lạng Sơn against the Japanese Empire
- December 1st, 1940 - January 28th, 1941: countryside against Thailand (within Cochinchine division)
- 1942: garrison with Ðáp Cầu, Lạng Sơn, CAD Bằng, and Kỳ Lừa
- March 1st, 1945: several companies occupy the Ligne Corrosive, at the Chinese border
- March 9th - March 13rd, 1945: destruction of most of the 3rd RTT by a surprised attack of the Japanese, in the sector of Lạng Sơn. Elements of the 2nd battalion resist the station of Binhi until April 2nd
