The 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the police officers (ENSOP) form of the police officers French. It is located on the commune of Cannes-Lock, near Paris.

Contest

Inscriptions

It is possible to be registered with the contest in two different ways:

To obtain a note of inscription from the General secretary for the administration of the police force (SGAP) or of the Administrative service and technique of the police force (SATP)
To download the note of inscription corresponding to the contest concerned and to return it to the General secretary for the administration of the police force (SGAP) or with the Administrative service and technique of the police force (SATP).

Conditions of recruitment

The external contest of access to the ENSOP is opened to the men and to women of French nationality, having less than 35 years to January 1st of the current year, to meet the required conditions of physical capacity and holder of a license (Bac+3).

There exists also an internal competition open to the civils servant in activities being at least 4 years old of seniority in their body of origin.

Tests of the external contest

Essay (coefficient 4)
Drafting of a note of synthesis (coefficient 4)
Test of criminal law and/or penal procedure (coefficient 4)
Test to option (private law, right public, history, geography, economy, mathematics) (coefficient 3)

; Tests of admission:

Maintenance on a general topic (coefficient 5)
Oral test with option on a nonselected matter with the writing (coefficient 2)
Oral test of foreign language (coefficient 3)
Tests of physical exercise (coefficient 3)

Schooling

The pupils, remunerated during their schooling, commit themselves in counterpart remaining with the service of the State during one five years minimum duration. The period of formation to the ENSOP lasts 18 months, and the clear monthly remuneration of the pupil-officers rises with 1363 € (figures of July 1st 2006).

Alternate formation theoretical courses and period of training courses in the various police services. Once affected on a station, the young police officers are constrained to wait one two years minimum duration before being able to obtain a change.
