3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the officers of firemen

The 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the officers of firemen (ENSOSP) is a public corporation created the 2004.

The 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of Firemen (ENSSP) is created in 1977 per Mr Christian Bonnet, Minister of Interior Department. Established in Nainville the Rocks in the Essonne, it opens its doors at the beginning of January 1979.

The National center of Instruction of the Fire-protection, based in Paris is attached to him. In 1986, the ENSSP becomes the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the Officers of Sappers Firemen (ENSOSP). In 1994, during creation of the INESC, the School is integrated into the Institute. The decree of June 7th, 2004 gives to the ENSOSP a statute public corporation and transfers the National institute from Studies of Civil security (INESC) near the National institute of the High Safety studies.

The 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the Officers of Firemen (ENSOSP) is today a national public corporation in administrative matter created by the decree of June 7th, 2004. It is placed under the supervision of the minister in charge for the civil security and is equipped with a board of directors.

Missions

The missions of the ENSOSP are:

the implementation of initial training and continues officers of firemen (professional and voluntary)
the organization, fire help, of formations intended in particular to the elected officials, to the civils servant, for the executives of the companies and the French or foreign experts
the animation of the network of the schools of firemen, and in particular coordination, in connection with the prefects of zone, of the formations, research and the cooperation actions ensured by these schools
research, the studies, the evaluation, the futurology, the technological survey as well as related information circulation there in the fields concerned with the field of competence of the departmental services of fire and help
the development of cooperation actions international, in particular formation research, its fields of competence.

Operation

The principal site since the closing of Nainville the Rocks on June 28th, 2007, is Aix in Provence. It is part of the air base of Aix the Miles which was placed at the disposal of Ensosp to build these new buildings there. Since 2004 the site is occupied and the first trainings given in provisional buildings. The first work of demolition started and will be able to give place to the first construction of this school, thought like a true campus.

In parallel, the site of Vitroles receives on a surface of 23ha the future technical plate of this school. It will include/understand an help center school with a handing-over of 82 vehicles sets fire to and help, including 3 scales and 15 vans.

Ten workshops of level team leader

These workshops will allow implementation the simultaneous of 10 operations in which the team leader brings a true added-value to the intervention. The implementation from 3 to 5 vehicles per operation will be necessary.

Urban area

The urban area was conceived so as to reproduce a maximum of scénarii of intervention in urban environment. The modularity of the frontages (stores, apartments, public lighting, networks of gas, etc) and of the interiors (flexible apartments) will allow a variety of scénarii whose limit will be that of the imagination of the trainers. It integrates 2 real workshops R+4, 4 workshops “center urban” (including 3 with fires and rescues on R+3 building and 1 in a building with service station), 1 workshop “périurbain” with a R+1 building and a store.

road Zone

2 workshops “road helps and dangerous matters transport” on highway (400 m of highway will be reproduced), 1 workshop identical to the precedent on a reproduction of a section of trunk road with intersection.
