35e regiment of infantry of line
The 35e Régiment of Infanterie of line (or 35e IH) is a regiment made up under the Ancien Mode in 1604, by a Lorraine gentleman named De Némond. It is currently in garrison with Belfort. Since the war of 14-18 it is called As of Trêfle .

Heraldic
Clover imagination of money, with a circumvented bond, posed on a terrace of very, sinistral of the number and initials 35e IH in capital of money, charged at a peak with an escutcheon to the colors with the regiment with Némond. On the dextral slope, the inscription " All gaillards" and the year 1604 at a peak. One can also note in basic image the Lion of Belfort (carved by Bartholdy), symbolizing the courage of the belfortains at the time of the war of 1870, one of the cities belonging to the axis having gained a single victory on the French side during this war.
Significance
The lion points out the seat of Belfort in 1870 - 1871, the ecu which refers to the regiment of Némond of which it is the downward one, the year is that of the creation of the regiment. Lastly, the badge in the clover shape recalls that the regiment is called the Ace of clover.

Second Empire and War of 1870
During the countryside of 1870-1871, the 35e regiment of walk, formed with Belfort, is the spearhead of the defense of the city, under the orders of the Colonel Denfert-Rochereau, ordering the place. The February 18th 1871, the 35e of walk leaves Belfort with the honors of the war, unconquered after the 103 days of the Siège of Belfort. It gains then Grenoble then Saint-Etienne where the labor movements seized the power. The regiment will be used to repress rising.On its side the 35e of line, which was in Italy at the time of the declaration of war, goes back to Charleville while passing by Paris but must reprocess towards the capital after the defeat of Sedan. It takes part then in the combat of Chevilly, the battle of Champigny and the Bataille of Buzenval before being withdrawn in Paris where it will be used by the government of Versailles with the operations of “cleaning” of the Commune of Paris.
Of 1871 with 1914
On Tuesday, August 5 1873 three companies of the 35e unload in station of Belfort which the Prussians have just left. Belfort remained its town of fastener until our days.
First World War
The First World War is the occasion to write new pages of glory for the regiment. It registers four additional victories with its flag: Alsace-the Ourcq (1914), Champagne (1915), Verdun (1916), and Rheims (1918) and obtain the right to carry the Fourragère to the colors of the military decoration (11/17/1918). It fights within the division of the Aces and gains the name of “regiment of the clover Ace”. In September 1918, by removing the strengthened system of Tahure, it contributes to the final victory. ---- Chronology- 1914

Of 1945 at our days
The regiment in garrison in Belfort (district of Maud' huy, Friderich barracks and strong Hatry) takes part in the war of Algeria. It is confined in the area of Colomb-Béchar. It sets up a battalion of walk, the 1/35e IH which operates in Constantinois North. Sector of Saint-Charles. PC with Sidi Kamber then in Sidi Mesrich. Companies established with:- 1st in Sidi Kamber
- 4th in Sidi Mesrich
- 3rd in Oum Toub
- 2nd in Beni Ouelbane with a station with Gourmata (station of the Roy Sergeant) and temporarily a station in Bordj of the Coffee Moor.

In 1973, it settles definitively in Belfort, from which it is the regiment of tradition. Since, the regiment took part in many operations within NATO or of UNO.
The Gaillards of 35e IH were thus found in Ex-Yugoslavia (Bosnia-Herzégovine, Kosovo) but also in Africa.

Today, extremely of 1.200 men, entirely professionnalized, it fills within the 7 {{E}} Armor-plated Brigade, of the operational missions in operation external. It prepares to receive the first combat armored vehicles of infantry (VBCI).
