35e regiment of artillery parachutist

History

This regiment is resulting from the 35e regiment of artillery , created with Vannes on October 7th, 1873. It was ordered by the colonel Foch of 1903 to 1905.

It takes part in the First World War and in fate decorated with four mentions in dispatches and the fodder one in the colors of the Military decoration, following its heroic control at the time of the battles of the marshes of Saint-Hinge 1914, Champagne 1915, Malmaison 1915, Noyon 1918, the Amount-Py 1918.

During the program of 1940, it is almost entirely destroyed by covering the re-embarkation of the allied troops in Dunkirk. It is dissolved in 1942, after the invasion of the free zone. Reconstituted after the Second world war, it is established with Tarbes in 1947 and becomes light artillery regiment parachutist (RALP). It takes part in the Guerre of Indo-China (1953), then with the Guerre of Algeria.

Specificity

35e RAP is an organic regiment of the 11th brigade parachutist for which it is charged with the support fires with his 155 TRF1 and its mortars of 120mm in double equipment.
