- March 15th: Constance Galle becomes César. It is named with Sirmium and sent to Antioche by Constance II to supervise the Persian face, while Constance II deals with the usurper Magnence
- Claudius Silvanus, officer of franque origin, betrays Magnence.
- July: Constance II fall into an ambush set-up by Magnence to Adrana and is withdrawn on Cibalae.
- July - August: Failure of Magnence in front of Sirmium.
- Taken Siscia by Magnence little before the Battle of Mursa.
- September 28th: Constance II gains a victory over Magnence with Mursa, city that Magnence tried to besiege. The losses are such as Constance II cannot prevent Magnence to flee and take refuge in Aquilée.
- Hilaire becomes bishop of Poitiers.
- In India, a new process allows the extraction of the Sucre cane.
