Chandragupta Ier (319 - 330) founds the dynasty of the Gupta in the India of North.

traditional Phase in art for the period Gupta (320 - 455). First temples out of stone, with the style connected with that of “concealed” Greek. Art is freed from the hellenistic influences to become properly Indian.
