2nd regiment of dragons - nuclear power, biological and chemical
The 2nd Regiment of dragons - nuclear, biological and chemical (or 2nd RD-NBC) is a regiment of the armor-plated Arme cavalry of the Army French made up under the {{Ve}} République.
It is resulting from the fusion of the 2nd regiment of dragon S and of the nuclear, biological and chemical defense group, which has occurred in July 2005. It takes again the traditions of the first and specializes, at the same time as a regiment of recognition and in the fight against the nuclear weapons, bacteriological and chemical (NBC), and within this framework, the fight against the Terrorisme.
Being given the youth of the regiment in its current configuration, the history which follows is in fact primarily that of the regiment of cavalry called 2nd regiment of dragons. This regiment was the oldest regiment of cavalry of France.
