General information

It is guessed that one must read in the title 2 X2 the words two by two . The album is short approximately 24 minutes and appeared in March 2007 in limited edition ( the Discs Audiogram Inc. ), gathering remixées versions of the parts of the second album of Pierre Lapointe, the forest of badly-liked the, and a new song ( the maquis ).

One finds there inter alia the personal style of Kid Koala in an instrumental part, the frank rates/rhythms of Ghislain Poirier with Two by two gathered , that remixe also Jerome Minière on the album, and several collaborations with Jean Massicotte and Philippe Brault. A renewed sound, eclectic, which gives in value the texts of Pierre Lapointe. The album starts with In the forest of badly-liked the , remixée by Jean-Philippe Goncalves, a part which deviates enough the original one, without denaturing it.

Booklet

The cover and the interior of the booklet are of a simple graphics to the old paces of modern. The originality and the modern lie in the removable paperboard which furnishes the cover, enabling us to put, in the place of the head of the author, are a Morille, a carnivore, a Escargot or a Fleur.

The booklet mentions the collaboration of two of the regular musicians of Pierre Lapointe. Philippe B. and Philippe Brault. Not to confuse. Philippe B. which is the author of the new part the maquis , is also the guitarist of Pierre Lapointe. It also left its own album solo in 2006. While Philippe Brault, Co-arranger of the disc " The Forest of Mal-Aimés" with Jean Massicotte, arrangements for which they gained a Felix in 2006, arranger and musical director of the spectacle " The Forest of Mal-Aimés" sign here, always with Jean Massicotte, the remix of " In the name of the skies galvanisés".
