29er
The 29er is a Skiff drawn by Julian Bethwaite from which construction began in 1998. It aims at a young public, particularly to involve itself to sail on his big brother, the 49er (drawn by the same architect). It is equipped with a simple trapezoid and an asymmetrical spi. This popular boat is regarded as a faster alternative to the 420 even with the laser and has an international class for the regattas.
Recently, Bethwaite worked in San Francisco with Jen Glass to draw the 29erXX, with a surface of larger veil and a double trapezoid (it approaches the 470).
