  • Carausius, the admiral of the fleet of the Handle, takes the control of the Brittany (current England) and of the North of the Gaulle.

  • July 21st: To thwart the usurpation of Carausius, Dioclétien founds a spiritual dynasty. It takes, the July 21st, all the prerogatives divine by the title of Iovis and offers, with his colleague Maximianus, the title of Herculius . As from this moment, all their successors will name Iovii or Herculii . Their decisions are justified by the divine grace, the imperial person becomes inviolable and the imperial worship is founded. This decision causes the concern of the Christians and the first conflicts appear in the army.
  • September: Beginning of the first Indiction.

  • Dioclétien which excels in the strategy signs a peace treaty with Bahram II, the king of Persia, and installs it with Tiridate {{Rom|III|3}} as king d' Arménie.
