23e regiment of colonial infantry
The 23 regiment of colonial infantry is a unit of the French Army. The 43e regiment of colonial infantry, is attached. it was recreated under the name of the 23e regiment of marines and then the 23e battalion of marines as from on July 1st, 1979.

- 2nd World war 1939-1945 it is dissolved in July 1940, recreated in November 1944 starting from the 13th R.T.S
After Second world war
- Indo-China 1945-1955 dissolved 23e R.I.C the 3/15/1955, recreated the 5/1/1956.
- North Africa the 1956-1962 23e dissolved R.I.Ma the 8/1/62, recreated the 10/1/1962.
- Houses-Laffitte the 1962-1979 23e R.I.Ma dissolved the 6/30/1979.
- the 23e battalion of marines is created the 7/1/79 with Dakar, by change of name of 10th B.I.Ma
Nobody celebrates there having been useful
- 1938 - 1940: François Mitterrand
- Ramire Rosan (14-04-1895/24-05-2004, 109 years): the last " Poilu" from Guadeloupe (village of Dull-to-L' Water), it is built-in 1915 with 23e RIC and takes part in the battle of the Sum in July 1917 when it is gauze. Former farmer it receives the Legion of honor in February 1996.
