the sassanide Ardachîr Ier takes Ctésiphon. He is Master of the Parthian empire. He is crowned “King of the Kings” with Ctésiphon which he takes for capital. He asserts all the fields of old Persians, i.e. the Occidental Asia to the Mediterranean.
- Ardachîr Ier builds a centralized state, subjected to the Mazdéisme. Large Molhedh, chief of the clergy mazdeist, probably named by the king, advises it in all the cases of religion. The Top dog directs the central administration. The chief of the Warriors (Eran-Spahbadh), the chief of the Bureaucracy (Eran-Dibherbadh) and the chief of the Farmers and the Craftsmen (Vastryoshbadh), which raises the taxes on land and capitation, occupy of important functions. The empire is divided into military provinces directed by marzbans selected in the nobility, which depend directly on the sovereign. The provinces are divided name some and civilly managed cantons.
