In Chemistry, the ray of covalence corresponds to half of the distance between two atomic nuclei identical bound by a connection of covalence. It is expressed in picometers or Angström S.

It can be measured thanks to the electronic Diffraction or with the diffraction of x-rays.

By adding the distinct rays of covalence with two Atome S one obtains an approximation length of the covalent bond which they could form.
