- September 19th: A video diffused on an islamist Internet site shows apparently a scene of decapitation of three members of the Democratic party of Kurdistan (DPK) in the north of the Iraq.
- September 20th: Two American hostages in Iraq, Eugene Armstrong and Jack Hensley, removed the September 16th with a British, are decapitated at 24 hours of interval by their kidnappers, the group of Abou Moussab Al-Zarqaoui, “ Unification and holy war ”.
- October 8th: The British hostage Kenneth Bigley is decapitated by his geôliers in Iraq.
