1st regiment of hunters with horse
The 1st Régiment of hunters to horse is a regiment made up under the Ancien Mode. It was distinguished at the time of the campaigns of the Guerres of the Revolution and the Empire to the battles of Valmy, Hohenlinden, Austerlitz, Wagram, and of the Moskowa.

From 1945 to our days
In 1948 it is based with Gia Lam, in the east of Hanoi, not far from the Pont Doumer, today lepont Long Good, It has in its missions protection of the road Hanoi- Haiphong. 16,17 and May 18th, 1948 the first hunter " hustled many rebellious regular Units firmly established in Huyen de Thanh Mien". It is ordered until the 12/15/1948 by Lt-Colonel de Larue, then by the major Louis Paul Ziégler until the 3/22/1949. A tank with the weapons of the regiment can be seen with the museum of the armor-plated cavalry with SaumurBased with the camp of Canjuers in the VAr, it there had collected the traditions of the 1 {{er}} Régiment of Hunters of Africa, had dissolved in 1963, but had recreated in 1998. It is from now on related to the 2 {{E}} Régiment of Hunters with Horse, with Thierville-on-Meuse
