  • Death with Basle of the industrialist Hans Schlumpf, who had with his brother a collection of 500 Bugatti.

  • a plane of an Austrian company is damaged in the Lac of Constancy whereas it tries to land on the aerodrome of Altenrhein. The pilot and the ten passengers are killed.
Friday February 24th
  • the Lebanese hijacker Hussein Hariri is condemned to the reclusion with life by the Federal court to have diverted an apparatus of Air Africa on Geneva and to have assassinated one of the hostages in 1987.
