- January 9th: the government adopts the Relative law with the development and the protection of the mountain (known as “law Montagne”)
- January 21st: assassination of the general Rene Audran by Direct action.

- September 23rd: Inauguration of the Pont-Neuf packed by Christo in a film of ocher polyester yellow of a surface of 40.876 m2 whose realization required 3.076 meters of cord and 12 tons steel chains. This installation symbolized for Bulgarian the Christo Javacheff its own passage of the communist world on the free world and its arrival in Paris, its first place of real artistic creation.

- November 22nd: The French agents judged for in the Business of Rainbow Warrior, Alain Mafart and Dominique Prieur are condemned to ten years of prison for " Homicide involontaire".
December
- December 4th: the visit of the general Jaruzelski causes the “disorder” of the Prime Minister Laurent Fabius.
- December 19th: Courteous Georges, judged for a Holdup, takes as an hostage the Court of Assizes of Nantes during 34 hours. This event is followed by all the media, of which a team of FR3 which entered the law courts. The RAID intervenes for its first great mission. The Prise of hostage ends in the arrest of Courteous. There was no victim.
- December 21st: Opening by Coluche of the “Resto du coeur”.
