  • January 7th: the King Features Syndicate lance adventures of Flash Gordons, drawn by Alex Raymond.
  • February: exit of Famous Funnies #1, first comic-book with being sold directly with the public.
  • March: American Martin Branner meets French Robert Velter who will become his assistant.
  • May: exit of Famous Funnies #1 (second series), distributed in the rays of the grocers and the hardware stores.
  • June 9th: first appearance of the character Donald Duck , in cartoon film the Small advised Hen .
  • October 21st: first number of the Newspaper of Mickey which tells the stories of Mickey Mouse accompanied by Donald Duck.
