Events

January 12th: Fall of the president of the Council Pierre Laval.
January 14th: Pierre Laval president of the Council.
February 16th: Opposed to the reform project electoral, the Senate reverses the government Pierre Laval.
February 20th: Andre Tardieu president of the Council.
March 11th: Law on the family benefits for all the employees.
March 30th: Air link between the France and the New Caledonia.
April 10th: Commit suicide of the writer André Baillon, whom tries also his mistress Marie de Vivier, to which it probably gave a girl, Marguerite Mathieu, seven years earlier.

December 14th: Fall of the president of the Council Edouard Herriot on the question of the payment to the Americans of the war debts, that the Room refuses, since on the proposal of the the United States, the Germany with ceased paid repairs since the summer 1931.

Since the stabilization of the French franc, exports fell of 62% between 1929 and 1932 .
France knows a deflation of 8,3%.
Fort drop of the industrial production. On a basis 100 in 1928, the index reaches 78 then. The iron and steel industry (58) and the mechanical engineering (68) are reached. The textile (74) and chemistry (83) are touched less hard.
unemployment touches 900 000 workers with most extremely of the crisis. The short-time working touches ¼ workmen of the factories of more than 100 paid, and the weekly profits of the workmen decreased by 12,5% on average. But the retail prices and the cost of living decrease in the same time of 25% (farm prices drop).
