Events

  • January 1st: Resignation of the general secretary of the PCF Ludovic Oscar Frossard.
  • April 1st: The law fixes the duration of the military service at 18 months and specifies the mode of the deferments.
  • May 8th: Marcel Cachin, stopped the January 20th because of its opposition to the occupation of the Ruhr, is released.
  • May 26th - May 27th: First edition of the 24 hours of Mans.
  • June 15th: Following act of violence made by the Street pedlar of the king against two deputies who went to a demonstration against the occupation of the Ruhr, Poincaré ensures the deputies that the continuations against the royalist movement will be concluded and informs the radicals so that they break with certain tendencies of left.
  • June 17th: Dedication of the Notre-Dame Church of Raincy, monument emblematic of the Modern architecture, built by the brothers Gustave and Auguste Perret.
  • December 17th: The PCF proposes with SFIO to constitute a working and country block for the next elections. The Socialists refuse and choose the Trust of the lefts.

  • Limitation of the increase in the rents with 75% of the rent of 1914.
