  • January 1st : Introduction of the Pilot's license in France. Sixteen of these patents were already allotted on a purely honorary basis with sixteen pioneers the October 7th 1909.

  • January 4th : The French pioneer Leon Delagrange (Pilot's license 3) kills himself with Bordeaux on a Blériot.

  • January 8th : First flight of the French plane “To summon”.

  • February 9th : Arrival by boat of the first plane in India. It is a “Blériot”. It is a long time in customs, because it was not reproduced on the list of the products authorized in the importation.

  • February 11th : The Mamet French accomplishes the first flight in the plane in Spain on a “Blériot”.

  • March 6th : The Baronne of the Rock is the first woman to obtain her pilot's license (36).

  • March 10th : First night flight carried out by French Emile Aubrun in Villalugano, close to Argentinian Buenos Aires in .

  • March 13rd : Paul Engelhard accomplishes the first flight in the airplane in Suisse.

  • March 21st : The magician Harry Houdini, then in round in Australia, carries out on his personal plane, a “Neighbor”, the first flight officially recorded in Australia.

  • April 7th : French Guyot accomplishes the first flight in the plane in Poland.

  • April 18th :

    • First flight of the American seaplane “Flying Fish”.
    • the first conference on the aerial navigation is held with Paris.
  • April 18th : W. Brooking accomplishes on a “Wright” the first night flight in the United States.

  • May 25th : The Frères Wright fly for the first time together.

  • June 2nd : Charles Stewart Rolls, creator with Henry Royce of the famous firm of engines, achieves on board a biplane Shorts-Wright, the first crossing of the Manche outward journey and return without stopover.

  • June 9th : First operational mission for the aviators of the French Army. Féquant and Marconnet connect Châlons and Vincennes.

  • June 14th : American Brookings beats the record of altitude in the plane on Wright: 1.335 meters.

  • 3 with the July 10th : 2nd International meeting of aviation of Rheims. The apparatuses “Blériot” raflent all the prices.

  • July 7th : With Rheims, French Hubert Latham beats the record of altitude in the plane on a “Antoinette”: 1.384 meters. This record is beaten in the day by the Olieslagers Belgian: 1.720 meters on a “Blériot”.

  • July 9th : With Rheims, Leon Morane improves the world speed records in the airplane with 106,508 km/h on board a “Blériot”.

  • July 10th : With Rheims, the Olieslagers Belgian beats the record of duration of flight on a “Blériot”: 5 hours, 3 minutes and 3 seconds.

  • July 12th : Charles Royce is killed with Bournemouth in a plane crash. It is the first British air victim of the history.

  • July 15th : The Boris tsar of Bulgaria is the first sovereign reigning to carry out his first flight in the plane. The Belgian pilot Kiewit is at the origin of this first.

  • August : The second female pilot's license is allotted to the Belgian Helene Dutrieu (27).

  • 7 with the August 17th : French Leblanc gains the race of the “Circuit of the East” over a “Blériot”.

  • August 11th : American Drexel beats the record of altitude in the plane on a “Blériot”: 2.012 meters.

  • August 15th : French Louis Paulhan gains the price of the Daily Mail rewarding the pilot having to steal the most kilometers between on August 15th, 1909 and on August 15th, 1910. Paulhan adds up over the last twelve months 1 290,9 km.

  • August 11th : American Drexel beats the record of altitude in the plane on a “Blériot”: 2.913 meters.

  • August 17th : Franco-American the John Bracing accomplishes the first transport of passengers above the English Channel by carrying its mechanic on board his two-seater “Blériot”.

  • August 27th : Frederick Baldwin and John McCurdy takes on board a broadcasting transmitter on board their biplane “Curtiss” and transmits messages to the ground.

  • September : First use of planes in condition of combat in the French Army at the time of operations in Picardy.

  • October 2nd : Above Milan, first air collision of the history enters a “Farman”, controlled by the Captain Bertram Dickson, and a “Antoinette” controlled by a certain Thomas. The pilots survive the crash landing.

  • 16 and October 17th : First voyage by plane Paris - Brussels and return, is a way of 310 km in 5 hours and 39 minutes of vol.

  • October 28th : French Tabuteau beats the record of distance on closed circuit in the plane: 465,720 km in 6 hours.

  • October 29th : French Leblanc beats the speed records pure in the plane on a “Blériot”: 109,756 km/h. It is however the British Graham White who gains the Cut Gordon Bennett by gaining the race of 100 km in 1 hour and 1 minute, evening a time average of 98,552 km/h.

  • October 31st : American Johnston beats the record of altitude in the plane: 2.960 meters, on a “Wright”.

  • November 14th : The first takeoff of a plane at sea took place on an experimental basis on board the American Croiseur Birmingham. It is the American pilot Eugene Ely which carried out the exploit on board a biplane Curtiss 1911 model D.

  • December 15th : Possible (discussed) first flight in the plane in Asia. The Belgian Van den Born accomplishes a flight with Saigon.

  • December 18th : French Henri Farman beats the record of duration of flight: 8 hours, 12 minutes and 47 seconds on a “Farman”.

  • December 22nd : The Belgian Helene Dutrieu gains the Fémina Cut by covering 167,2 km in 2 hours and 35 minutes.

  • December 30th : French Tabuteau gains over “Mr. Farman”, the Cut Michelin 1910 by covering 584,745 km in 7 hours, 48 minutes and 31 seconds.

  • December 31st : S.F. Cody gains the Trophy “British Empire Michelin” with a flight 185 miles and 787 yards in 4 hours and 47 minutes. Very outdistanced at the time of the pioneers, the British caught up with a good part of their delay on the French.
